Views of “the end”

December 17, 2009 Leave a comment
I recently asked a friend to post a question on his Facebook. The question asked; How do you see the end coming? What will happen? What are your views?
Here are the responses…

I don’t know if I agree with the standard Tim Lahaye view. I don’t think Revelation fits into any kind of time period. What i do know is that one day, in an instant, the clouds will be rolled back like a scroll and Christ will be revealed. There will be no denying him on that day. And then,”As I looked,
“thrones were set in place,
and the Ancient of Days took his seat.
His clothing was as white as snow;
the hair of his head was white like wool.
His throne was flaming with fire,
and its wheels were all ablaze.
A river of fire was flowing,
coming out from before him.
Thousands upon thousands attended him;
ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.
The court was seated,
and the books were opened.” Daniel 7:9-10

You know, for most people, the END is scary! For me it is exciting. I’m not sure what it will be like.. I do know many years ago, My dad had a dream that Jesus came back, and he said it was awesome. He said that he was standing outside and he looked up in the sky and the clouds parted and it looked like a long hall way, And at the end was a figure. As the figure got closer, he could tell it was Jesus,and at that instant he felt his feet lift off of the ground. IT was so exciting to him, he actually yelled out in his sleep and woke all of us up! I love to remember that dream, and wonder if it will really be that way…

amen valarie it will be so great that we will shout his glory but i do fear for those left behind i have loved ones that i pray for daily that God can reach them before its to late i put them at Jesus feet, i pray people open their eyes before it to late

its ether heaven or hell for us that love God faithfully it will be a great reuion, n for them that don’t oh my God reach them convect their hearts i fill that them left it will only be a sm. taste of hell, dear God i humble pray for all the sinners out there “God help us all i come to you as a chid n pray that you see i’m worthy to be call your cild that i have a home in heaven,thank you Jesus for your shed blood that washed me clean help me to grow in faith n trust I love you God

not how, but WHEN….
i love my life on this earth and would love to live a long fruitful healthy life in service to my Lord, but i anticipate with great joy the return of Christ for His Church.

meeting with Christ in the air!!! And as I see His glory shining through me I am changed!!!Love you guys and hope to see ya soon!Christman parade yeah!!

I dunno…..kinda scary, if you ask me, considering the whole chip thing….i’d have to have my head chopped, but Jesus, I hope that don’t happen in our time…well, actually, I would just hope that I would be taken with him…..well, ttyl…valerie

I think it’s getting pretty near… Just a little more corruptness and more people lead astray and THEN it’ll be time…

What is your view?

Welcome to my blog.

I would like to take a quick minute and welcome you to my blog. This blog is my attempt to think and preach through the Book of Revelation. As of this moment I take no stand or side when it comes to schools of interpretation. My goal is to be honest with the text and not try to use the newspaper as my means of interpretation. Before I close, there is one major theme I think that John the Apostle wants the readers to be aware of; that is this book is a book about Jesus. He is the Son of God, fully man and fully God and He is the Holy and the True One.
